Dumbbell side bends

I’ve been trying to do more ab workouts during my weekly routine. Yesterday I did 3 sets of sidebends. I did 20 reps for each set holding a 45-lb. dumbbell. Today my obliques are feeling nice and sore. I do them like the image here, trying to get a nice, long bend/stretch with each rep. My goal is to graduate from dumbbells to doing them on a decline bench. (I used to be able to do 25 reps like this. Gotta build up to that again.)
