Heavy metal

I’ve been meaning to mix up my workouts for quite some time now. To a certain extent, I already have (I’ve been doing drop sets with my chest and back workouts), but I think it’s time to go back to good old heavy lifting.

As I mentioned before, when lifting weights I do 4 exercises with 4 sets each. The first two sets are usually light. I do 12-15 reps. The last two I try to max out and do 8 reps. This week I’m gonna go heavy on 3/4 sets. So the first set will be my “warm up” set and the following 3 will be intense.

My goal is to improve my pull-up count. I ran today and after my run I hit the pull-up bar. I did 4 solid pull-ups. I wasn’t particularly proud of that number and feel like my pull-ups are starting to plateau. So I gotta hit the heavy weights. Tomorrow is back workout day. I’m already looking fwd to moving some heavy iron!
